Tian Tan Buddha & Po Lin Monastery (By Edward)
Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha which is a large bronze statue of a Buddha. The Buddha was completed in 1993 and built at Ngong Ping that located in Lantau Island. The Buddha is located near Po Lin Monastery and symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion. It is a major centre of Buddhism in Hong Kong, and is also a popular tourist attraction.
You can visit the magnidicant Buddha here that is one of the five largest Buddha status in China.
If you are Buddihists, you should go to the Po Lin Monastery to make a formal visit. There are many specific things related to the buddism that you can find in here only within Hong Kong.
